Melt my πŸ’• Daily Dose - Luke 18:1 - When the Walls Feel Like They’re Closing In...

Luke 18:1 (NLT): 'One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.'

πŸ“ Does it feel like everything familiar is collapsing all at once? Deep down, you may be struggling to accept the fact that seasons are changing in your life, asking why the heck now?
Perhaps this is God’s way of telling you to let go and accept that He is closing doors for new beginnings. Life moves in seasons and sometimes even after doing all you can, nothing seems to shift. What if this isn’t the end of your story, just the end of a chapter?

Maybe you have outgrown your current situation and God's ready to elevate you to the next step. I know it’s hard to accept especially when we cling to the familiar, but trust God and get excited to see what’s next, Amen!

I am at this point now and sharing my Bible study and faith journey with you. It happens to us all, a season in life ends, doors close, and the silence stretches longer than expected. Sometimes it even feels like the walls are caving in. Are you in this place also? That in-between stage, the waiting room...The moments when you’re trying to trust God, but your heart is tired. 'Lord, what is happening? Why are You silent? I need to understand what’s going on. Please help me understand.' In the middle of confusion, Prayer has been my therapy for Peace. Every opportunity I get, I pray until I hear from God. It’s not always smooth sailing. There will be bumps in the road, doubt, weariness, regret. Renounce those distractions and focus on the Cross. Trust me, God’s got you. Try it. And when He comes through, share your testimony. 😊

Soul Dive: Luke, a scholar and close companion to the apostle Paul wrote this book (he was NOT one of the 12 disciples of Jesus). He carefully documented the life and teachings of Jesus so people would know the truth about who He was (Luke 1:1–4). This book was written approx around a few decades after Jesus’ resurrection. In the early church at the time, believers faced persecution, adversity, and seasons of prolonged waiting (Proverbs 13:12), for God’s promises to be fulfilled. They needed reassurance and perseverance in faith, just as we do today.

πŸ’‘Mental Reset: Jesus spoke these words to His disciples, '...always pray and never give up,' introducing the story of the 'Parable of the Persistent Widow' in (Luke 18:1-8), a powerful lesson on prayer and perseverance. The story follows a widow who repeatedly sought justice from a Godless and callous Judge who kept ignoring her pleas, until he got tired of her hounding him (relentless pursuit) and decided to give her the justice she deserved. Her persistence was finally being rewarded. She did not give up but focused on the end result. Now if an unrighteous judge can respond to persistence, how much more will our loving Father respond to His children, Amen!

So does this change the way I PRAY?
Maybe! Think of the lesson in today's daily dose. Do you give up easily of persevere? It's a reminder and assurance that:
In that silence, the waiting period → Pray
When the walls feel close → Pray.
When you don’t know what’s next → Pray.
When you’re grieving what was → Pray.
When you’re hopeful but scared → Pray.

Please take note, Persistence in prayer is NOT desperation, it shows total dependence. The more you grow in Christ, Prayer becomes a habit. And yes, there’s often a sudden peace that follows… after the freak-out, of course, lol πŸ˜‚, you’re only human. Getting back on track happens through fervent prayer and surrendering it all to our Father. P.S. This is not a one-time thing. You pray until you hear from God. Think of a situation in your life where God made the impossible possible. That testimony. Did you ever think it would happen? Remember that and trust His will. Amen!

The key, Rebuke stress, Keep praying relentlessly. Surrender it all to God, and stay open to change. He is working in your life. As Scripture reminds us: 'Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.' - Matthew 7:7 (NLT)

If you are coming to terms with the end of a season you were once comfortable in, remember this; God closing a chapter is NOT God closing His hand over you. If He allowed the ending, He is already preparing the beginning. Amen. Anchor yourself in this truth. When doubt whispers, 'Everything is falling apart,' replace it with, 'I rebuke you, negative spirit, in Jesus’ name. Everything is shifting into place, in the mighty name of Jesus. God is handling what I can’t see.' Declare this boldly. He’s got you. AmenπŸ™. God reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11: 'For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'

Let’s PrayFather, right now it feels like the walls are closing in. A chapter has ended, and I am standing in unfamiliar space. With Your mercy, I trust that this transition is not punishment but positioning in Jesus’ name. Please teach me to always pray and not give up, to pray without ceasing as Your Word says in 1st Thessalonians 5:17. Strengthen me in the waiting, calm my anxious thoughts, and remind me that what feels like loss may actually be protection. You close doors with purpose and open new ones with intention. Amen πŸ™. Lord, I trust that you’ve got me. I love You, I appreciate You, and I am filled with gratitude. Thanks for your unconditional love, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

πŸ’Daily Reminder: I will NOT give up! This ending is NOT my destruction, it is divine redirection. God is with me in the transition. What’s next is held in His hands, AmenπŸ™. God Bless you and stay strong. Have a Blessed DayπŸ’•.
