Happy New Year 2024πŸ’•

I started the New Year at midnight with Gratitude by reading and meditating on Psalm 34 (Click HERE), and went into praise & worship with amazing worship songs.  So much to thank God for. I may not have achieved all of my goals but God helped me through so much that sometimes I ask myself 'how'.   Amazes me all the time.  What seemed impossible for me God made possible.  The enemy will try to make you focus on what you did not achieve, bind him by pleading the blood of Jesus.

Remember what we take for granted is a Blessing to most.  I found this quote online, it gives a good recap of gratitude, As Christians, 'the practice of gratitude is about recognizing, trusting, and responding to God’s goodness and abiding presence with us' (source: crcna.org).

Thanks for all of your love & support.  May God Bless you greatly and may you continue to fulfill his will in 2024.

Make building a relationship with God a priority this year and get out of living in religion.  Love you alwaysπŸ’•.  Email for any questions or send prayer requests via the contact us at the bottom right of the page or at theprayingsweetheart@yahoo.com

MELT MY ♥ Daily Dose - John 1:9 - Our Savior is born 'Merry Christmas'

MELT MY ♥ Daily Dose - John 1:9(NIV)

9 'The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world'

Let’s celebrate Jesus, the 'true & living light' this Christmas by reading and reflecting on the Birth of Jesus Christ in the Bible, Luke 2. I encourage you to start from Luke 1 which describes the birth of John the Baptist and the events leading up to the birth of Jesus. I know as Christians growing up, we have heard or even acted in plays when we were younger about the ‘Nativity of Jesus’ numerous times however as your faith gets stronger, trust me you get a better respect and understanding about the creation of our Lord & Savior..

Let’s remember Christmas is not all about shopping and gift giving, understanding the true meaning of the gift of Christ, and celebrating that with gratitude is the key. Have a Blessed and beautiful Christmas and I pray that you are filled with gratitude, peace and Joy. If you are spending it alone remember that as a child of God, you are never alone. Christ is always with youπŸ’—. Do not reflect on the loneliness or negative thoughts but focus on gratitude and make the day as blissful as you can. Love you and God Bless YouπŸ’—. Merry Christmas πŸŽ„!

MELT MY ♥ Daily Dose - Psalms 30:5 - When God appears in your situation

MELT MY πŸ’• Daily Dose Psalms 30:5 (NLT)

'For his anger lasts only a moment,  but his favor lasts a lifetime!
Weeping may last through the night,  but joy comes with the morning.'

Somebody may be in misery right now wondering 'when God when'?  How long do I still have to endure this mountain, situation, pain, misery?  I thought you loved me and cared Lord?  Why do non-believers have testimony's yet I go to church, evangelize, obey your word and I don't have a testimony.  People are mocking me wondering where is my God?

Bros & sis do NOT give the devil a window to have you living in Fear.  Fear is a blessing blocker that the devil uses to have us depressed, lack faith, live in anxiety, isolation and giving up on life.    Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) says, 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.'

When God appears in your situation you would be speechless.  He did it for David (in the Psalm), Job, Hannah, Abraham, read their stories in the Bible & get uplifted.  Meditate & believe today's daily dose 'weeping may endure through the night, BUT Joy comes in the morning'.  Trust God's purpose & will for your life right now.  Weather the storm and God's light will eventually shine on your situation.  God has promised and he will change your situation.  Use this season to listen to what God is trying to tell you, maybe you need to repent of past sins, soul ties, pray against inner vows, curses, Let God do his work in you during this season.  Obey and continue to be faithful and keep your eye on the prize.  You are Victorious in Jesus name, you will give a testimony that will uplift others in the name of Jesus.  Keep that chin up, smile and know that God's got thisπŸ’•.

**This is a repost, I originally wrote this post in May 14th 2015. I was searching for an uplifting bible verse when this came up.  I feel so Blessed with my faith refreshed that I decided to repost.

MELT MY πŸ’• Daily Dose - Romans 15:13 - Embracing Change

MELT MY πŸ’• Daily Dose - Romans 15:13 (NIV)

'13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.' (NIV)

If you are having an overwhelming season in your life, feeling lost, unfulfilled, hopeless, I pray that this bible verse will be a tool for you to hold on to God’s word and keep persevering.  When all doors seem closed:  you are financially drained, career a mess, people around you keep failing you, I mean when it get’s to a point when you ask yourself ‘what is the meaning of life’, please do not give up

Whenever I find myself in this situation, what keeps me standing is holding on to the word of God.  Start by accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior (see image below for short prayer) and have a willingness to get to know God.  Google a bible verse relating to how you are feeling, Pray (just simply talking to God with respect.  Put all your troubles, burdens, at our Lord’s feet and have faith that he would see you through. I know when the storm is hard the last thing you may want to hear from someone is positivity as instant physical results may only seem like the remedy.  Trust me it works and it helps.  Learn to let go and let God.

In this verse he promises that if we trust in him, being fully reliant on him, he will fill us with joy and peace, and flow us with hope by the supernatural power of the holy Spirit. ‘Joy & Peace’ in today’s society is priceless.

Remember, it is building a relationship with our Lord & Savior and not living in religion.  There is good, as well as learning experiences in a relationship ( may seem as bad because the outcome is not what we like).  Putting your trust in God is also accepting his will for your life. Christianity is not all about prosperity i.e. you will be rich, happy, never be depressed etc. there is also suffering in Christianity. Imagine being Apostle Paul who was literally imprisoned in almost every city he preached.  What a man of Faith!  Your faith will be tested e.g. The story of Job.  The key is loving Christ wholeheartedly with a hunger to grow in his word and a heart to discern and fully understand his voice.

Today, I pray for supernatural healing over your mind. I stand against any spirit of delay & stagnation over your life in the name of Jesus. I pray that the word of God will be a tool to bring peace, love & joy into your life. May the Lord bless and keep you. Have a Blessed day in Jesus’ name. Seasons change and it will get better πŸ’•.

PRAYER OF SALVATION

MELT MY πŸ’• Daily Dose - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 - Lord I Thank You...

MELT MY πŸ’• Daily Dose - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NLT)

16. Always be joyful. 17. Never stop praying. 18. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

As we start our day today, let's remember to show gratitude to our Lord and Savior regardless of our situation, there is ALWAYS something to be grateful about.  Let's learn to thank God just for who he is, our Lord and Savior, and not focus on what he has NOT done for us.  Remember a successful relationship is not always based on material things but emotional fulfilment.  I grew up in a church that was focused on 'Prosperity' Gospel, while I am not saying it is a bad thing, personally based on my experience, I do believe that sometimes it deviates from focusing on building a relationship with God and just loving God for who he is and not what he can do for you.  You can get a better definition of Prosperity Gospel by clicking HERE (credit: JustDisciple.com)

From experience once his promise is not fulfilled according to your individual need is when we backslide or believe that God hates us.  I literally had to detox from this ideology and start all over again 8 years ago, and I can tell you now I have a better understanding of who God is and my relationship now with Christ is a peaceful one. It is based on love and not focused on expectations.  I will blog about my detox process soon.  It was very hard, but God made it possible for me.  I have learned to have faith, pray without ceasing, and accept whatever the outcome God has for me believing that he is my love and creator, and he knows what’s best for me.  Today, kindly reflect on showing gratitude to God and think about your relationship with God.  Is it based on love or expectations?  Have a Blessed Day and may God’s word and Love give you Peace.  Love you all πŸ’•!

Happy SundayπŸ’• Have a Blessed Week!

 Hebrews 11:24-34 (NLT)

24 It was by faith that Moses, when he grew up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. 25 He chose to share the oppression of God’s people instead of enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sin. 26 He thought it was better to suffer for the sake of Christ than to own the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking ahead to his great reward.

27 It was by faith that Moses left the land of Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger. He kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the one who is invisible.

28 It was by faith that Moses commanded the people of Israel to keep the Passover and to sprinkle blood on the doorposts so that the angel of death would not kill their firstborn sons.  2

It was by faith that the people of Israel went right through the Red Sea as though they were on dry ground. But when the Egyptians tried to follow, they were all drowned.

30 It was by faith that the people of Israel marched around Jericho for seven days, and the walls came crashing down.

31 It was by faith that Rahab the prostitute was not destroyed with the people in her city who refused to obey God. For she had given a friendly welcome to the spies.   32 How much more do I need to say? It would take too long to recount the stories of the faith of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and all the prophets.

33 By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight.

MELT MY πŸ’• Daily Dose - Hebrews 11:6 - Faith is NOT the belief that God will do what you want...

MELT MY πŸ’• Daily Dose - Hebrews 11:6 (NLT)

'And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.'

My morning devotional today is on 'The Rewards of Faith,' and in all these years that I have studied the meaning of Faith and tried my best to apply it to my everyday life, I have to admit today's devotional was an 'AHA moment' for me because for some reason I finally got it!  It could also be that sometimes through the storms in life, we form a closer and disciplined relationship with God understanding and trusting his word more diligently.  Either way, I thank God and I am happy to share it with you today.

The quote from the devotional referenced below,  'Faith is not the belief that God will do what you want BUT that God will do what is right' was my wow factor.  Now I have heard this quote almost all my life but for some reason it hit me todayπŸ’‘.  Often times with our faith, we ask God for something, have faith that it will be done, and once it does not come through or not as we wanted, we tend to stray from his word or have doubts.

ACCEPTING whatever is God's plan for our life once we ask is truly the key and is one of the hardest things to accept, even though most will not admit...  I Pray for God's strength as we continue to build our relationship with him.  See below for the rest of the devotional.

Happy New Year & have a Blessed DayπŸ’•

********

The first reward faith gives you is access to God. Romans 5:2 affirms this, "By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." Ephesians 3:11-12 also underscores it, "According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him."

πŸ’‘Faith is the key that opens the door to God's presence. Without faith we cannot please God nor walk with Him. Faith provides the new and living way. It enables you to go to the throne of grace with confidence and to receive mercy grace and help from God. Therefore, I encourage you to make your faith active, grow and productive.

The second reward of faith for a believer is God's love. When you believe in Jesus Christ and make Him your Lord and Saviour, you will become an object of God's unfeigned, unconditional, perfect, and everlasting love. In John 16:27, Jesus said, "For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God." One of the benefits of God's love for the believer is sonship. The Bible says, "What manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God" (1 John 3:1). Faith makes you a son or daughter of God, and that status gives you access to all the privileges and blessings of the Kingdom of God.

I encourage you to increase and strengthen your faith this year. Also make it highly productive, and all its benefits will manifest in your life. You will be a bigger bundle of testimony this year, in Jesus' name. Amen!
