Melt my ๐Ÿ’• Daily Dose - Job 1:9–11 - Broke, Stressed, and Questioning Your Purpose? The Hidden Spiritual Battle You Need to Know

Job 1:9–11 (AMP)
: 9.Then Satan answered the Lord, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10.Have You not put a hedge [of protection] around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands [and conferred prosperity and happiness upon him], and his possessions have increased in the land. 11.But put forth Your hand now and touch (destroy) all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face.”

When opportunities kept slipping away, money stayed tight no matter how hard I tried, and my career felt completely stalled, I started to realize something deeper was going on. It didn’t feel random, it felt heavy, constant, and unseen. The stress alone made it hard to think clearly, let alone trust God. Survival mode kicked in, and I found myself questioning God instead of resting in faith.
That’s when it hit me. This wasn’t just life being hard, this was spiritual warfare. Nothing in the physical made sense. I had the skills, the rรฉsumรฉ, the effort, but life still wasn’t moving forward... How can I fix this, what exactly am I dealing with??

Soul Dive: The Book of Job asks a question many of us still wrestle with today: Why do good people go through hard things? Job’s story shows us that hardship isn’t always punishment. Sometimes it’s a test that strengthens faith and deepens trust. In Job’s case, Satan claimed Job only served God because life was good. So permission was given to test that belief. Notice what was attacked first: Job’s income. His career. His security.

That strategy hasn’t changed. FYI, Not every spiritual battle comes with God’s permission like Job’s did. Often times, spiritual warfare is directly from the enemy, a tactic meant to stall your faith, drain your hope, and keep you stuck in fear, confusion, and depression. Anything that causes you to question God, delay your joy, or abandon your faith is part of the enemy’s plan. Job’s situation reminds us that pressure doesn’t mean you’re failing. Sometimes it means you’re positioned. The Bible makes it clear: this struggle isn’t against people or circumstances, but against unseen spiritual forces, Ephesians 6:12 (NLT) - 'For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.'

So What does Spritual Warfare look like in Real life?
It's a deep feeling that something is wrong, not adding up. It shows up as constant pressure, stress, trauma, agony, fear, that doesn’t let up. Discouragement that slowly pulls you away from God. It’s meant to wear you down. Remeber the spiritual reisitance is not because you are doing something wrong, the goal is to keep you away from God.
To disconnect your faith and make you feel alone in the process.

The darkest I have ever been in my life. Why is this happening now that I am finally in a good place with God spiritually? On paper, everything looked fine. I was educated, professional, had a solid rรฉsumรฉ, yet my career growth felt stuck. Same tax bracket for years. No momentum. No breakthroughs. Money would come in… and somehow disappear. Savings drained without a clear explanation. Unexpected expenses popping up back-to-back. I couldn’t even pinpoint where the money went. I took steps forward, business loans, new plans, yet nothing seemed to stick. Job hunting was especially frustrating. Strong rรฉsumรฉ, good interviews, but offers fell through or the pay was consistently low-balled. It didn’t make sense. I was even going through an eviction, what the heck!

And it didn’t stop at finances. Relationships were affected too. Tragedies around me, Grief, Peace felt constantly disrupted. Every time things seemed to stabilize, something else would hit. I must add I started having dark dreams, uneasy and lazy with my prayer life, lethargic. After a while, you start noticing a pattern. Not just bad luck, but repeated resistance. That’s when you realize this might not just be life, this might be spiritual. These repeated patterns can be signs of an unseen spiritual battle on your life and hapiness. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and you are definately NOT crazy๐Ÿ˜‡.

'Why Me though?' I feel singled out
Because You’re a Threat. Your future impact In God's kingdom threatens the enemy. When you’re stable, you think clearly, you walk in obedience and have influence, peace, and the ability to bless others. That’s dangerous to the enemy. When your life is in shambles the devil has you:
  • Question God’s goodness
  • Distracts you from your purpose
  • Exhausts you emotionally and spiritually
  • Convinces you that God has abandoned you
This is exactly where he needs you to be...

I can't anymore! How do I fix this??
If you’re asking this, start here: Seek God, stay anchored in truth, worship through the pressure, and most importantly don’t give up. God has equipped you to stand firm and overcome. The battle is very real, but so is God’s presence, protection, and power to help you overcome. The moment we choose to seek God through prayer and even fasting, He meets us there. Ephesians 6:10–18 reminds us that God doesn’t leave us unprotected in spiritual battles. He calls us to be strong in Him and shows us how to fight, not with fear or panic, but with spiritual strength by putting on the full armor of God.

The armor of God is practical, not symbolic. It protects your mind, guards your heart, strengthens your faith, and helps you resist emotional, mental, and spiritual attacks. You’re not weak for going through this, God is with you. Holding on to Him in the valley proves the enemy wrong, just like Job did after losing everything. Was it easy? Not at all. It’s hard. But as fervent prayer and worship become a habit, peace slowly creeps in, surrender feels lighter, and your spirit is reminded who is really in control. Worship in hard seasons confuses the enemy. To elaborate:
  • Stay anchored in truth, not circumstances - Life will feel chaotic. Opportunities vanish. Money disappears. Bad dreams keep you up at night. But Romans 8:28 reminds us: God works all things together for your good, even the delays, the setbacks, and the confusing moments.
  • Worship in the waiting - Job didn’t wait to worship until everything was restored, he worshiped in the middle of the storm. When you choose worship during hard seasons, it confuses the enemy and reminds your spirit who’s really in control.
  • Pray honestly - Don’t sugarcoat your feelings. God can handle your frustration, your tears, your questions, even the anger at circumstances. Pour it all out. Nothing is too messy or too small for Him to hear.
  • Take practical steps with spiritual trust - Faith doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means acting with trust, even when the outcome isn’t clear. Update your rรฉsumรฉ, network, apply for that role, manage your money, but do it trusting God, not relying on your own strength alone.
  • Refuse to let lack define you - Your season doesn’t define your identity. Your finances aren’t cursed, they’re being contested. Your career isn’t doomed, it’s being tested. And through it all, God still has the final word, Amen.

So to summarize, Spiritual warfare doesn’t mean God is absent, it means your faith matters. This battle may be unseen, but you are not unprotected. God is with you, equipping you to stand, even when it’s hard. Stay prayed up, stay grounded in His Word, and may God give you the strength to endure, overcome, and keep moving forward.  Have a blessed day. Love you ๐Ÿ’•.

๐Ÿ™Let's Pray: Heavenly FatherYou see the pressure I’m under, the fear, the exhaustion, the uncertainty. You know the stress that keeps me awake at night, the bad dreams, and the weight of feeling stuck. I bring it all to You honestly. Lord, strengthen my faith when my heart feels heavy. Help me trust You beyond what I can see. Restore my peace when fear and doubt creep in. Guide my steps, protect my mind, and remind me that my identity is in You, not in money, success, or circumstances. Let me stand firm even when life feels chaotic, and show me that You are my source, my shield, and my strength. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
