Melt my πŸ’• Daily Dose - Psalm 121:1-2 - No need to fear, God’s awake and always near

Psalm 121:1-2 (ESV): ‘1 I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? 2.My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.’

πŸ“When life feels heavy and overwhelming, it’s easy to look down in discouragement. Today’s verse reminds us to lift our eyes up ⬆️, not to focus on our worry, but to the our most high God.
Our help doesn’t come from within ourselves or the world around us. It comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He is strong, steady, and always awake, watching over us with love and care. He won’t let us slip or fall, even when we feel weak, God is holding us steady.  Keep your head up and remember, Gods got youπŸ’ͺ

πŸ“Breathing excercise: I recommend you try this before you pray.  Helps me to relax:  Repeat for 1–2 minutes, or longer if needed
  1. Sit or lie down comfortably
  2. Inhale slowly (while inhaling in your heart say): 'Lord, I receive Your peace'
  3. Exhale gently (while exhaling in your heart say)'I release my heaviness'

πŸ“Let’s Pray: Dear Lord, when my heart feels heavy and my steps feel unsure, help me remember that You are my constant help. Thank You for never sleeping and never leaving me. Hold me steady in Your love. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

πŸ“Faith building Activity: ‘Surender All’ Moment
  • Take a few quiet minutes today to physically lift your eyes up and look at the sky or the hills (or even a tree). Preferably outdoors.
  • As you look up, breathe deeply and remind yourself: “My help comes from the Lord.” Let that thought settle in your heart. If you can, write it down or say it aloud.
  • You should also read the entire Psalm and meditate on it:  Psalm 121
