Psalms 31:24 (ESV): ‘Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the LORD’
Waiting is one of the hardest parts of faith. It tests our trust, stretches our patience, and often brings us face-to-face with our deepest fears. Today's scripture is an invitation to hold on, to stay grounded in a God who is still good, even when His timing doesn’t make sense. Sigh... especially to us 'Planner's', expecting all to go accordingly.
The affirmations below are for the days when you’re barely hanging on. Speak them over yourself. Let them become your breath prayers. Let them remind you: even in the waiting, you are deeply seen, fully loved, and never alone. Hang in there, God's got youπ.
Dear Lord: In the waiting, I choose to trust You. Give me strength when I feel weak, and courage when my heart grows weary. Your timing is perfect, and Your promises are true. Help me to wait with faith, knowing You are working even now. Thank you Lord. In Jesus name we Pray, Amen.
Affirmations: Trusting God in the Wait
- I can be tired and still trust God; Waiting doesn’t require perfection; just perseverance.
- My strength is not in how I feel, but in who holds me. Even when I’m weak, God is still strong.
- Every tear I cry in the wait is seen by God. He stores them all. Nothing is wasted (Psalm 56:8).
- God is never late, even when it feels like He is. His delays are not His denials.
- This season will end, but what God is shaping in me will last. He’s doing more than I can see.
If you’re in a waiting season, you’re not alone. Take heart—this isn’t the end of your story. Let Psalm 31:24 remind you that courage is for those who wait. And sometimes, just staying faithful another day is the bravest thing you can doπͺπ.
Affirmation Exercise: Choose one affirmation from the list above that resonates most with where you are today.
- Write it somewhere visible - on a sticky note, your phone lock screen, or mirror.
- Say it out loud every morning this week.
- Let it anchor you in truth.
