Nahum 1:7 (NIV): ‘The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him…’
๐Today, this verse speaks directly to my heart. When life feels heavy sometimes… uncertain, overwhelming, this reminds us that God is not distant. He is good. He’s not just watching from afar; He’s a refuge, a safe place I can run to and rest in.
It comforts me to know that when I choose to trust God, He’s already caring for me, holding me close, seeing my fears, and staying with me through it all. Have faith, hang in there, God will surely see you through Have a Blessed weekend๐
๐Breathing excercise: I recommend you try this before you pray. Helps me to relax: Repeat for 1–2 minutes, or longer if needed
- Sit or lie down comfortably
- Inhale slowly (while inhaling in your heart say): 'Lord, I receive Your peace'
- Exhale gently (while exhaling in your heart say): 'I release my heaviness'
๐Let's Pray: Dear God, Thank You for being my refuge. In every trouble and fear, remind me to run to You first. Help me to trust You, even when things don’t make sense. Teach me to rest in Your goodness and let Your care calm my heart. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
๐Faith-building activity: - Write it out
1. Write today's verse, Nahum 1:7, on a sticky note or card and keep it in your wallet or journal as a reminder of God’s presence during the day.
2. Memorize the verse – Commit Nahum 1:7 to memory this week so it becomes a go-to truth in moments of stress or fear.
3. Pray for Trust – Make a short list of things you’re struggling to trust God with, and pray over each one, releasing them into His care.
