πNeed a Booster? In today's verse, God is speaking directly to the people (Israel) through the prophet Joel. A promise of restoration after a time of devastation and judgment in the land. Earlier in the book, God allowed a plague of locusts to come upon the land as a consequence of the people’s sin and disobedience. These locusts destroyed crops; representing loss, famine, and hardship.
However, in today's verse 25, God promises that if the people return to Him (repent) with sincere hearts, He will restore everything they lost; even the years that seemed wasted, empty or destroyed.πBe assured that even when we go through seasons of deep loss, failure, emptiness, no purpose in life, regret... God can bring healing, provision, and purpose back into our lives. What feels like 'wasted years' are not wasted, God can redeem lost time and heal what feels wasted or broken. Even in our lowest moments, restoration is still possible. You still have a chance, do not lose hopeπ
πBreathing excercise: I recommend you try this before you pray, helps me to relax.
Repeat for 1–2 minutes, or longer if needed.
Sit or lie down comfortably
Inhale slowly (while inhaling in your heart say): 'Lord, I receive Your peace'
Exhale gently (exhale): 'I release my heaviness'
πLet’s Pray: Dear Lord, I feel lost and empty right now. With your mercy, I believe You can restore what’s broken in me. Please help me trust You with my pain and look forward with hope. Thanks you Lord for your mercy and favor over my life. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
1. God is restoring what I thought was lost forever. My past pain will not define my future.
2. Even in my brokenness, God is working behind the scenes to bring beauty and purpose.
3. The time I feel I’ve wasted will not be in vain. God redeems and multiplies what remains.
4. I declare restoration over my life, relationships, dreams, time, and hope is being renewed.
5. God is faithful to restore what the enemy tried to steal. My comeback will be greater than my setback.
