MELT MY ♥ Daily Dose - James 1:2-4 (NIV)
'2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.'
God sometimes takes us through troubled waters not to drown us, but to build up our faith, to endure, persevere, lean on his understanding not our own, trust him, acknowledge his works, to cleanse us from our sins... To persevere is doing something despite the difficulty or delay in achieving success. When you have that adamant faith that come rain or shine I must get what I want. Revelation 3:10 (NIV) states, 'Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.'
When it comes to God sometimes we expect that super quick answer and if we don't get it we give up easily and seek a Plan B. At work some of us endure what ever we can to climb up the ranks so we can achieve a better salary and status, we endure to keep our significant others to avoid loneliness or whatever the reason may be... If you have a Boss who has the worst attitude, you endure by avoiding him as best as you can all you need is the experience on your resume and a paycheck. Use that energy and focus when it applies to things of Christ. Through Trials, praise God! Listen to uplifting gospel songs, energize & uplift yourself with praise. Refrain from complaining or comparing yourself to others. It will only lead you to disobedience.
