MELT MY ♥ Daily Dose - 1 Samuel 17:50 (NIV)
'So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him.'
I am sure we are all familiar with the story of David & Goliath. A poor Shepard boy who by faith conquered the most feared man/giant in the Philistine army, Goliath (Read full story here, I Samuel 17). David had no weapons, no armor, no shield to protect him, and no combat experience, but one thing he had in common with Goliath was Confidence. The big difference is David's confidence was in GOD and Goliath the giant had more confident in his strength. He might have even been offended that a short little Shepard boy such as David even had the audacity to challenge him but by FAITH David conquered him with only a sling and a stone.
What is that storm or mountain that has you living in fear? What situation has you depressed, you have anxiety, you may think that this is it for you because you see no way out. Or perhaps somebody is making your life miserable. Remember our God is bigger than anyone, any storm, mountain or situation. Just believe in his word, obey and have crazy faith. How can it be humanly possible that David killed Goliath? He had crazy faith in God's word and God gave him the wisdom to aim correctly and hit Goliath where he would be out. Get it? No matter how big the adversary, storm or mountain God empowers us to do all things through the power of Christ, Philippians 4:13 (NIV) says, 'I can do all this through him who gives me strength.' Today, pick yourself up, keep those shoulders high and remember our God never fails. You have a God who loves you and has said numerous times that if only we can obey and receive his word. It's crazy but I have heard testimonies of Ex-Satanists who converted to Christians and they always say that we Christians don't understand the power that is in the name Jesus Christ. They are always baffled at how we take his word for granted and the simplicity of us enjoying our blessings if only we obey. Please take hid to this, these are the words coming from people who hated Christians, thank God for his Grace & Mercy.
Shake it off, tell the devil he is a liar, keep your head up and don't even worry about it. Just do your due diligence and you would have a testimony or a lesson to take hid of in Jesus name, Amen♥
