MELT MY ♥ Daily Dose - Psalms 106:1 (NLT)
'Praise the Lord!
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever."
The big word 'Gratitude'... We have to be very careful in making sure we are showing God the appreciation he deserves. I keep stressing it because I am just as guilty, training myself to enjoy each day, each moment, rather than waiting for the 'Big' breakthrough for me to be thoroughly happy & grateful. Society has gotten us so spoiled as Christians we all want or better yet NEED the latest gadget, home, fashion, nicer church or megachurch, a famous Pastor etc... I can go on & on. As God's children we should learn to appreciate what we have, before time makes us appreciate what we had... Gosh how true is this! This was my awakening! Now I recall moments that I thought were my worst and compared to now, those trials were nothing. I kinda wish I would have enjoyed those moments I mean I look back my teens past by with me yearning for more, my twenties and now I look back and wish I would have enjoyed those moments. I can never have those years back... I wish I can turn back time but the reality is that I can't... It's up to me to work on changing the future, rather than yearning for more just thanking God for my life, each moment. Living for each day, making the best out of it, thanking God for another opportunity. Life is so short that it can pass us by if we don't put this in check.
Self reflect and rectify if this is an issue for you also. You have to work at it, old habits never die. So far I thank God for his Grace. Everyday morning and evening during my meditation I make it a priority to first thank God for everything he has done for me and most importantly for just knowing him. I don't generalize, I thank him for each thing in my life. Even if I wake up feeling blah, my life, health, spiritual growth, I can see, hear, walk, discern, career. I also thank him for what I am hoping for in the future, itemized #Faith. Sometimes I just thank him for being my Lord & Savior, spiritual growth and nothing else... Remember, life is short we never know when it's our time. Start today and make this a habit. With practice comes perfection. Let it not be a chore but from your heart. Our saviors love endures forever, remember that. Let's appreciate him♥
