π Time
is the one resource we can’t recycle. Money can be regained, opportunities can
come back, but the minutes we spend are gone forever. Today's daily dose isn’t
just poetic, it’s deeply practical. It reminds us that wisdom begins with
perspective. Meaning? When planning your day the night before, perspective
means recognizing that unplanned days lead to wasted time, while wisdom means
planning ahead to use your time intentionally.
Make's sense? Let's dive in some more...
Wisdom isn’t just knowing stuff, it’s about
seeing life clearly. Perspective is how you view your time, your choices, and
what really matters. Without it, we can confuse being busy with being
productive, or chasing quick wins with building something that lasts. Deep...
When we recognize our days are numbered, limited, fragile, and precious, it changes how we live. That awareness gives us perspective. And from that perspective flows wisdom: the ability to make choices that align with what truly matters instead of being driven by distraction, fear, or cultural pressure. Perspective grounds us. Wisdom guides us. When you begin to see life as God sees it, you begin to live wisely.
Realizing our time on earth is short loosens the grip of grudges, endless distractions, and shallow pursuits. Moses, who is credited with this psalm, prayed for God to teach His people to ‘number their days.’ He wasn’t asking for a morbid awareness of death, but for clarity to live deliberately. To number our days means to measure them, treat them as precious, and align them with what truly matters: loving God, serving others, and stewarding the gifts we’ve been given.
Today, many of us juggle ambition, uncertainty, and the pressure to ‘make it.’ But today's versee shifts the lens. It reminds us that wisdom doesn’t come from hustling harder, but from living with eternity in view. Every day is a deposit into our legacy, how are you investing it?
Soul Whisper:
- If you viewed your time as a limited resource, what would you do differently this week?
- In what areas of life do you need to slow down so you don’t miss what truly matters?
- How can you align your priorities more closely with God’s wisdom rather than cultural pressure?
