MELT MY ♥ Daily Dose - Romans 12:12 (ESV)
"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer."
The book of Romans is one of
my fav's to read because it stands
as one of the clearest and most systematic presentation of Christian doctrine
in all the Scriptures, written by the Apostle Paul. This scripture Romans 12:12 is as precise as
can be. We are encouraged to ‘Rejoice in
Hope’, to always find a reason to be joyful & thankful no matter the situation.
Always remember that what we take for granted is a testimony to others. I
totally understand that it can get very challenging to do this but remember we
are building a relationship with Christ and not living in religion. Nobody is perfect or is expected to be, a
relationship does not always come easy, it takes work. So, do not beat yourself up, work on
conditioning your mind to always be joyful & thankful. Even if it means doing an exercise in which
you have to write down or mentally note every day only 5 things in your life to
be thankful for. This has helped me a
lot and now I do this in the morning and before I go to bed. I have gone from 5 things to more than 10 and
trust me, I have a LOT going on in my personal life but thank God for strength.
With rejoicing in hope, it becomes
a lot easier to be patient (to remain calm and not freak out) in
tribulation/distress/suffering. You are aware that life could be a lot worse, you are thankful and happy for your blessings, you
have faith and have accepted God’s will for your life. Remember Christianity is not always about good
things happening all the time or in other words ‘Prosperity preaching’s’. Sometimes facing tribulations is part of God’s
will for our lives, it helps with our growth and quite frankly we all have
different destiny’s in life, e.g. the book of Job and many more. The key is to accept your path and work with Christ
to guide you. This is where a lot of us
struggle with our faith because we are so brainwashed with prosperity sermons
that we question God when things become unbearable. Please try to get out of this mindset because
from experience it can lead to severe depression.
The last instruction ‘To be
constant in prayer,’ during any time of suffering, while waiting for what we're
hoping for, we should pray. Prayer brings a connection with our Father through
the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
An awesome way to communicate and listen to God. For me Prayer is like visiting a shrink. I am very honest with God and feel at peace every
time I pray. If you struggle with being prayerful do not worry, remember you can pray anywhere the key is taking at least 5 mins a day even if you have to hide in a bathroom😊, trust me the mental sanity is needed. Also, do not get frustrated if you feel like you are not getting any answers from God, it comes with patience just do your due diligence and you will start discerning with time.
May the Lord be with you today, I cover all of you with the blood of Jesus, I love and appreciate you all♥. Happy new month and have a Blessed Day♥!
