MELT MY π Daily Dose - Psalm 125 (NIV)
1 Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion (to be like Mount Zion means to be fortified - strengthened or protected), which cannot be shaken but
endures forever.
2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds
his people both now and forevermore (God’s promise of everlasting
protection).
3 The scepter (a ceremonial
staff, often used by kings) of the wicked, will not remain over the land
allotted (their power and authority), to the righteous (God’s
protected children), for then the righteous might use their hands to do
evil. (The purpose of ending the rule of the wicked is so
the righteous will not do wrong, out of frustration for being
oppressed.)
4 Lord do good to those who are good, to those who are
upright in heart.
5 But those who turn to crooked ways the Lord will banish
with the evildoers (Obey God’s commandments). Peace be on Israel.
Peace be unto you today, have a Blessed day! π
