Today let’s strive to make a difference in someone’s life emotionally, financially, whatever God leads you to do. A lot of us are hurting inside, carrying a lot of hurt, baggage and sometimes an ear is all you need. It may even be a smile, you’d be amazed at what a difference that will make in someone’s life. Let’s practice getting out of ‘Self’ and reaching out to others. Even if someone is being rude to you, this honestly has been hard for me but I have come a lonnnnggggg way.
A Ticket Agent was so rude to me the other day. I bought an incorrect ticket and she assumed that I was trying to get over on her without even giving me a chance to explain myself. Mind you, I was in a new city, my mom was getting a risky emergency surgery the next morning so you can only imagine how stressed I was. The devil was really at work that day BUT he was put to shame. As she finished her insults with a crowd truly disgusted by her behavior, I quietly asked her the amount of the correct fare. I paid the fare, looked her in the eye and from the bottom of my heart said to her ‘God Bless You.’ Her eyes widened with mouth wide opened, totally stunned at my response and I walked away. I was like, geez thank you Lord for the patience because me a couple of years ago would have never gone for that. Trust me it works, you can help someone who is disrespectful to you as long as you are not in danger. I surely hope my response to her made a difference in somebody’s life with the little audience she had created. Trust God & you can make a difference. At least try♥
