MELT My ♥ Weekend Dose - 1 John 1:9 (NLT)

'But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.'

When confessing our sins we should be very open and honest to God acknowledging our pitfalls and seeking repentance.  Never conceal, pretend, make excuses or hide any Sins in your life if you are truly remorseful and want change.  Our God is forgiving and a God of second chances.  There is always room for change and growth towards a better life if you really want it.  
David, a great man of God had his pitfalls however he was very honest with God when he sinned.  In Psalm 51:1-3 (KJV), he says,  Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.  2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.  3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Notice that he is not blaming anyone or making excuses for sinning he is taking responsibility and acknowledging that he has sinned and is seeking repentance.   The beauty of being a child of God is there is always room for a fresh start if you are passionate about his word, seek & strive to live in obedience, persevere...  Get out of living in religion, it's unrealistic!  Strive to live for Christ according to his word in the Bible, it's not as complicated.  There were so many great men of God who had imperfections and were as flawed as some of us are.  However whenever they fell, they ran to God honestly acknowledging their sins and seeking repentance, a second chance.  Remember, Nobody's perfect as 'Religion' excudes.  Our God is a God of second chances, enjoy the opportunity♥  A Blessed week to you♥
