MELT MY ♥ Daily Dose - Romans 15:30 (NLT)
'Dear brothers and sisters, I urge you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to join in my struggle by praying to God for me. Do this because of your love for me, given to you by the Holy Spirit.'
The Apostle Paul was leaving Rome and heading to Jerusalem when he wrote today's daily dose, sensing that adversity awaited him in Jerusalem. He knew he needed the prayers of his brothers & sisters in Christ to see him through the difficulty that awaited him. If Paul in all his glory, a great man of God, can humbly seek prayers from his fellow Christians how about us? He did not specifically go to an 'esteemed' man of God as himself or to only high ranking Christians, he pleaded to ALL, the poor, rich, regular folks in church, as long as you were a born-again Christian you were his family. He was humble enough and ok with the fact that he is human. Yes, we all have fear sometimes, nobody's perfect. Our walk in Christ is a process and until you let go of Pride, trying to look or pretending to be that perfect Christian, you will never be able to enjoy the greatness of God. In verses 31 & 32- Romans (NLT) he is very specific about what he needed his brethren to intercede with him for. He says, 'Pray that I will be rescued from those in Judea who refuse to obey God. Pray also that the believers there will be willing to accept the donation I am taking to Jerusalem. 32 Then, by the will of God, I will be able to come to you with a joyful heart, and we will be an encouragement to each other.'
It is perfectly fine to seek help from fellow Christians. I know... A lot of times you do not want people to know about your 'business' because of all the gossiping etc but guess what? All you are doing is obeying the word of God and if somebody uses your plea, cry, help, to gossip and judge you then God will judge them also. He will fight your battle for you. I pray that God will direct you to an anointed family in Christ where you can all uplift and trust each other in times of joy & need. You do not have to stay in a congregation out of 'convenience' if you are not getting spiritually uplifted, Run! Find someplace else nobody has time to waste. James 5: 16 says (NLT), Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
Whatever situation you are battling or it may be your joyous season and you need some advice you do not have to go through this alone. Now I am not saying you should solely depend on others for prayers, No! as a child of God laziness is not accepted, but in certain situations, asking for help from fellow brethens in Christ is necessary. God can lead you to a person who has overcame that battle you are struggling with and they can be able to mentor or pray with you. Get out of fear, self & pride and enjoy the greatness of God's kingdom remember we are all family in Christ ♥
