MELT MY ♥ Daily Dose - Psalms 143:8 (NLT)
'Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning,
for I am trusting you.
Show me where to walk,
for I give myself to you.'
Happy Monday! Hope you had a Blessed weekend! Today, I want to share with you my simple steps to Spiritual Growth. Remember, it is a gradual process do not be too hard on yourself. Make it fun, simple & realistic. The key is applying yourself, making time for God and striving to have a relationship with him. Make God your priority, he should not be your last resort. Don't be lazy, make an effort and enjoy his Grace & love:-)
1.Remember that God is always there #CrazyFaith
Stay convicted in your faith with God come rain or shine. This is your root, your core in your walk with Christ. Even in the driest times, when you just don’t feel God’s presence, remember that God is always with you. He will never leave you or forsake you, remember that... Deuteronomy 31:6 (NLT),'So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.' I constantly remind myself by having little post-its all over my house, my phone, any method you can use to constantly remind yourself of this. Once this is established you can speak to your problems or issues by the authority given to you in the name of Jesus. Your head (thoughts) & mind, would embrace positivity and reject any thing contrary to the word of God.
2. Do a Daily Devotional #Priority #QuietTime #No-distractions #Laziness
This is a MUST! Developing long-term habits is important in maintaining your faith. A daily devotional will keep you in the Word and enhance your prayer life. It will also keep you closer to God even when you struggle in your faith and keep you grounded in your joyful season when some of us seem to easily forget God. Colossians 1:10 (NIV), so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.'
Make this a HABIT, do not rush, make time & make this a priority. Start with 10-15 mins, 1)Praise 2)Ask God for forgiveness (don't generalize) 3)Thanksgiving (don't generalize) 4) Find a scripture (Blogs, Google, based on your desire), understand it, study it, apply it to your life 5) Worship(you-tube) 6)Petition-Prayer-communicate with God, be honest 7)Meditation-summarize your devotional quietly & LISTEN

3. Get Involved #BibleStudy #Church
Some of us become apathetic over time because we do not feel connected to a church body. Some churches do not offer ways to connect, yet, there are a lot of activities in the community. Reach out, volunteer, mentor, join a Bible study group or create one in your community (meetup.com). You can even look into other ministries. The more connected you are to the body of Christ, the more likely it is that you will maintain your faith. Hebrews 10:25 (NIV), ' Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.'
4. Find a Spiritual Mentor #Christianfriends
If you feel separated from God, you find yourself backsliding, need advise, talk to someone, a fellow Christian, Pastor, Youth leader, Counselor, etc. Be very careful with this, pray that God gives you the Spirit to discern, to direct you to the right person. A lot of falsies out there that's why I stress on the first three steps. Once you are convicted and enriched with the word of God it is easier to pick out the bad apples. Talk through your issues and pray with them about your struggle. They can offer insight into how they have worked through their own struggles. Proverbs 27:17 (NLT), As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.
I hope this helps you, remember the more effort you make the more you get to know our Lord & Savior and actually enjoy it... AND you would be shocked about how your needs & desires gradually change. I look at myself now and I can't believe it sometimes, me prioritizing God over a 2 year unGodly relationship (broke up with my BF was loosing focus and we were not on the same page with my walk in Christ), a drink, I am more forgiving, anger...well still working on this one lol but I am like Huh? Trust me the devil has used me to try backsliding but God always see's me through because I either get very uncomfortable or out of place. Like I said it's a process. Be disciplined but not too hard on yourself. Let God be your steering wheel. May God guide you through your walk with him and please desire his word ♥
