MELT MY ♥ Daily Dose - 1 Timothy 2:1 (NLT)
' I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.'
Praying for others when you are broken is a selfless act of love. As children of God let's practice being there for each other. Extend that love & care to all don't limit it to just your family & friends. You don't have to know the person just hearing their story or seeing their situation can tell you they are crying silently and need your prayers. I find it really beautiful when someone prays for you without you knowing. I don’t think there’s any form of deeper and purer love. I always remember the story of a lady in my church who I didn't know personally but I overheard her saying that on Mother's Day, as much as she has accepted the fact that she will never be a mother, that day is always a hard holiday for her. She is happy for others however she was honest about her feelings. I remember interceding in my spirit and saying 'With God nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37),' her age, race, health, is never a factor when it comes to God. I didn't say anything to her but I seeked the face of God because I was deeply touched by her story. A year later she had a beautiful baby boy being dedicated to God, thank you Lord! Now I am not saying that I was the ONLY person to pray for her, I am sure she has been pleading to God and others may have been deeply moved by her story that day also. Personally I was VERY happy, you'd think she was my family:-) Why, because my prayers were answered. I never said anything to her but rejoiced with her inwardly. You get it? It's not about bragging to others about being a Prayer Warrior or how God has answered your past prayers, it's about the care, love, the concern that you have for others. Let it be between you & God. If there is an instance where you need to speak up and minister to the person then it's fine. Let God direct you. Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV) says, '3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.' Start making it a priority to remember others in your prayers. Be a Blessing to others and remember there is someone or somebody who needs your prayers... ♥
