MELT MY ♥ Daily Dose - Psalm 143 - The Pursuit of Peace #Guidance #Faith #Deliverance

Daily Dose ♥ Psalm 143 (NLT) -  A Psalm of David
1 Hear my prayer, O LORD; listen to my plea! Answer me because you are faithful and righteous. 2 Don't bring your servant to trial! Compared to you, no one is perfect. 3 My enemy has chased me. He has knocked me to the ground. He forces me to live in darkness like those in the grave. 4 I am losing all hope; I am paralyzed with fear. 5 I remember the days of old. I ponder all your great works. I think about what you have done. 6 I reach out for you. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain.
7 Come quickly, LORD, and answer me, for my depression deepens. Don't turn away from me, or I will die. 8 Let me hear of your unfailing love to me in the morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I have come to you in prayer. 9 Save me from my enemies, LORD; I run to you to hide me. 10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing. 11 For the glory of your name, O LORD, save me. In your righteousness, bring me out of this distress. 12 In your unfailing love, cut off all my enemies and destroy all my foes, for I am your servant.

This psalm, as those before, is a prayer of David,  full of anguish, of the great distress and danger he was in when Saul persecuted him. In this psalm, He complains of his troubles, through the oppression of his enemies (v. 3) and the weakness of his spirit under it, he felt paralyzed, lost, disoriented, it seemed there was no way out for him but only the mercy of God.  His heartfelt honest prayer is felt throughout the entire Psalm.  He is very specific about his situation and HUMBLY pleads to God for help.
This is a big LESSON for us in Prayer. David’s prayer teaches us that we will not pray as we ought unless we recognize our weakness and need and therefore our total dependence on God. There are times when we are faced with life threatening situations that only the grace & mercy  of God can get us out if it.  Thus David teaches us that our prayers in times of crisis must be heartfelt, humble, believing, and obedient. But, we also need the right aim in prayer.
Are you in a similar situation where ALL seems stagnant?  Have you done all you can do yet God seems silent?  Why do we need this repeated lesson on prayer? We need it because we all face trials, some of which are overwhelming. We need it because false teachers appeal to our flesh, promising us instant health and wealth if we will only believe #Prosperity. We need it so that we can learn how to pray in time of trials: with heartfelt, humble, believing, and obedient prayer. We need it so that we aim in our prayers not only to get relief from our trials, but also to grow to know God better. To be independent and not depend on others, learn how to 'do-it-yourself'. You have all the tools you need.  You can seek guidance from an ordained man of God if need be but I stress learn to seek God's face yourself.  I have been burned too many times by so called men of God and thank God for giving me the wisdom to get out of slumber.   Don’t waste your trial! Let it drive you to God in prayer.  Remember you can do it, You are a WINNER and God Loves you, he is waiting...
