Melt my πŸ’• Daily Dose - Psalm 37:5 - I Gave Up Control and God Blew My Mind...

Psalm 37:5 (NLT): ‘Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.’

πŸ“Have you ever tried everything in your own strength and still ended up feeling stuck? I’ve been there, plenty times. What I discovered is that there’s a different way to live, one that doesn’t rest on my ability, but on God’s. That's why I have decided to discuss this scripture again due to my recent testimony, I had no other option or alternative, but to totally surrender. I repented🠊 asked God for Mercy🠊 fasted🠊 Prayed🠊 Total Surrender=Victory. To say I am shocked is an understatement, lol, Praise God!

Vibe Check: We try manifesting, grinding, and planning our way but still end up drained. Here’s the truth I’ve learned: peace doesn’t come from control. It comes from trusting God, total surrender. We often know scriptures and even memorize them, but rarely do we fully internalize them. When we pray, let’s ask God to remind us that His Word isn’t just text, it’s truth. Until you’ve experienced real victory through trusting Him, you won’t fully understand. And remember, it’s not only about faith, you also have to put in the work on yourself. See what I did below.

When God says, 'Believe in Me, commit your ways, and I will help you,' He means it, 100%. Total surrender means placing your storm at God's feet and being honest, tell him the truth, 'God this is too much for me to handle, pls take this load otherwise let your will be done in my life.'  Remember Jesus' cry at the cross? This was exactly my cry to God as I surrended my situation wholeheartedly in Matthew 26:39 (NLT), “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”
P.S.  I also think God places us in situations to learn total surrender and spiritual growth.  This was totally the case for me.

Soul Dive: This Psalm was written by David, a man who went from overlooked shepherd to king. He knew struggle, betrayal, and loneliness, yet he discovered the power of committing everything to God.  David wrote this because he wanted to remind us that human strength fails, but God never does. His message wasn’t just poetry, it was his testimony (Psalm 37).

Mental Reset: 'Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.' (Psalm 37:5 NLT) πŸ‘‰ Let go of your tight grip on life. Place it in God’s hands, and He’ll handle what you cannot, Amen!
  • Pause and Pray before making any decisions.
  • When fear creeps in, repeat: 'God, this is Yours, I am placing at your feet and handing over to you. Let your will be done not mine, please guide me through this'

How do I surrender, I am always in controlπŸ˜•
  • Start small: give Him one area of your life, maybe finances, career, spiritual growth, or your next move.
  • Reflect: look back at how He’s already carried you when you didn’t notice aka. Gratitude
  • Ask for Mercy, Psalm 51 is my go to
  • Fast, it's hard but it works.  I usually do 6am to 12 noon or 12am to 12 noon depending on my health. When I fast I try to stay home, no telephone, social media, TV, distractions, it's one on one with God.  I read scriptures that apply to my situation, ask for God's mercy, Pray fervently, surrender and thank God in advance for his will.  Trust me, this is a very true scripture until you follow instructions and apply.  Otherwise it's just like any other that you know but have not internalized.  Big difference!
  • Be consistent: trust grows when you practice, not when you wait for the “perfect” moment.

πŸ’‘Affirmation: 'I release control and trust God’s plan. He’s got me even when I can’t see the way.'

πŸ“Manifesting fades. Hustle burns out. But trusting God? That’s where peace and results collide. Psalm 37:5 isn’t theory, it’s life.

πŸ™Let's Prayer: Heavenly Father, I’ve tried doing life my way and it hasn’t worked. I give You my plans, my dreams, and my fears. Teach me to trust You more than myself. Help me walk in faith, one step at a time. Thanks for your mercy over my life and unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
