Melt my πŸ’• Daily Dose - Lamentations 3:22-23 - Woke up covered in mercy, not regret…

Lamentations 3:22-23 (NLT)
:
‘The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.’

πŸ“Quick context... Lamentations is a poetic book in the old testament written after the fall of Jerusalem by the Babylonians. The city had been destroyed, the people were grieving, and everything felt hopeless. The author Prophet Jeremiah, is brutally honest about his pain, despair, and even anger.  But right in the middle of all the heartbreak, chapter 3 (Lamentations) takes a surprising turn...

It’s where grief and suffering collide with deep faith and unexpected hope. In the midst of sorrow, Prophet Jeremiah still remembers who God is to him;
His love never ends, His mercies are fresh every morning, He is faithful, even when everything around us falls apart.  This is a clear transition from pain to hope. He doesn’t ignore the suffering, but reminds us that God’s love is steady through it all.

A lesson we can take from this is even through the pain, let's try to remember the goodness of God in our lives.  Even through the stormy seasons, God’s love is still on, you’re still His, and He’s still faithful.  You’ve got divine grace on repeat. That right there is a flex!πŸ‘Š

πŸ’‘Real-talk takeaways: From Prophet Jeremiah
  1. Pain isn’t off-limits: He doesn’t pretend everything’s fine, honest about heartbreak, exhaustion, and feeling like God is distant. You don’t have to fake it to have faith.
  2. Hope still shows up:  Right in the middle of the mess, there's this beautiful truth: God’s mercy is brand new every morning. Not recycled grace, fresh, like sunlight after a storm. Hope doesn’t ignore pain, it rises through it.
  3. Love doesn’t quit:  Even when everything falls apart, God's love and faithfulness don’t. He doesn’t walk away, even when we’re at our worst.
  4. Lament is a form of faith.:  Crying out, questioning, and wrestling with God? That’s not weakness, it’s worship. Real faith doesn’t always sound like a polished prayer. Sometimes it sounds like, 'God, where are You?' And that’s okay!
No matter what today looks like, God’s love never runs dry. His mercy is fresh every morning, always ready to meet us right where we are. That’s a hope we can hold onto, no matter what.  Remember this and have a Blessed Day!πŸ’—

Let's Pray; Dear Lord, Thank You for this joy in my heart today. In the lightness, in the laughter, I remember it’s all from you. Your love never ends, and your mercies meet me fresh each morning. Even in sadness, I don’t take Your faithfulness for granted. Keep my heart grateful, grounded, and aware of Your goodness. In Jesus name, Amen.
