MELT MY ♥ Weekend Dose - Luke 24:44-48 - Celebrate the Resurrection of the Lord

MELT MY ♥ Weekend Dose - Luke 24:44-48 (NLT)
'44 Then he said, “When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. 46 And he said, “Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day. 47 It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’ 48 You are witnesses of all these things.'

Happy Resurrection Day!  This is a day of God's prophecy coming to pass, a day to celebrate, a day to behold that Jesus Christ the son of God rose from the dead.  He was crucified on the cross for the redemption of our sins, betrayed, tortured, humiliated, and was risen in exactly three days after his death just as he had predicted. He conquered death through the power of the Holy Spirit.  Through the cross Jesus defeated our enemies -- death and Satan, and won pardon for our sins.  His cross is the door to heaven and the key to salvation.
When God raised Jesus from the dead, he proved that he was indeed the Messiah, the divine son who even his own disciples questioned.  Aren't we like the Disciples?  Some of us won't believe unless we can see it with our own eyes. After his resurrection, Jesus went to great lengths to assure his disciples that he is no mere ghost or illusion.  That must have been funny:-)  He shows them the marks of his crucifixion and he explains how the scriptures foretold his death and rising in today's daily dose ( Luke 24:44-48).  It took for him to rise from the dead before they were truly convinced that he is indeed the Son of God after all the miracles he preformed prior to his death and his teachings.  Human beings right:-)  God have mercy on us:-)
After their initial bewilderment, they later became  joyful because they realized that his prophecy had indeed come to pass.
How can death lead to life, the cross to victory?  Jesus shows us the way and gives us the power to overcome sin, despair, and death.  Just as the disciples were commissioned to bring the good news of salvation to all the nations, so, we, too, are called to be witnesses of the resurrection of Jesus Christ to all who live on the face of the earth.
Do you witness to the joy of the gospel to those around you? What a great day to start or make this a priority.
Luke:24:51 says"While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up to heaven."
What a sight to behold and today we are all anticipating his return.  It may be today, tomorrow, anyday, lets prepare and make sure we are living in obedience according to his will.  It is not too late to repent and make Jesus Christ your Lord & Savior or renew your relationship with him.  Remember Luke 24:47 says ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’
May you find the renewal of hope, health, love, and the Spirit of God this Resurrection Day.  A Blessed & Happy Easter to you ♥
