MELT MY ♥ Daily Dose - James 1:6 - Got Faith? Believe and Don't doubt...

MELT MY ♥ Daily Dose - James 1:6 (NIV)
'But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.'

FAITH is the only force that makes the impossible possible, hard task doable, odds irrelevant, statistics inaccurate if only we ask and JUST BELIEVE! Faith is to have belief in and to trust in something or someone with no physical evidence that you can see it. Doubt is a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction.  Today's daily dose describes doubt like a wave been tossed by the wind.  We all know what that looks like and if you can swim it's not a great feeling being tossed around by the wind.  When your mind or thoughts waver it drives you crazy, you get indecisive, depressed, anxious, misled, tempted to backslide, and you even begin to question God.
With faith, you have a strong conviction that God said it, it is written, I am his obedient servant and it WILL be done.  Then the devil creeps up with doubt and says well if it didn't happen the last time why would it happen now?   He creeps into your thoughts with all the why's, and maybe not's, and 'just forget it' thoughts.  That's when you REJECT those thoughts and say 'I bind you Satan. My God never lies if he says it, I ask, believe, it will happen in the name of Jesus.'
Sometimes asking can lead you to God's divine purpose for your life. Through waiting the lesson learned could either be to endure and wait for God's best or immediately get what you asked for.  Sometimes when we ask if it's not God's plan for us be prepared to learn to accept what he gives you.  Remember it's not all about asking, or me, me, me, it's about building a relationship with God and obedience to his word.  You cannot be living in Sin or backsliding and when God does not give you what you want you blame him for hating you, No! do a self check.  If you ask and it's not happening examine your spiritual life, seek the face of God and talk to him about it.  Learn to accept his will for your life, trust me from experience there is always a lesson learned.  For me God wanted me to get closer to him before fulfilling my request.  Had he answered my prayers years ago I would NOT have been as faithful as I am to him today and I am very grateful to him for that.  He has taught me to let go of self and lean on him more.  Just believe, don't doubt and leave the rest to God ♥
