Religion is the rulebook.
Relationship? That’s the rescue. Matthew 15:8 (NLT) - 'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.'
I am a Grace-chaser on a mission to live with Purpose - even when life gets messy. Some days, I am quoting scriptures. Other days, I’m barely holding on, but Christ? He is always constant.
Welcome to my world of Inner perception-where faith meets the mess, grace wins☑, and healing begins☑. Let’s Walk this journey together. ๐
Melt my ๐ Daily Dose - Psalms 86:6-7 - When the weight is too much to carry… I call on Him
Psalms 86:6-7 (NKJV): ‘Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; And attend to the voice of my supplications. 7.In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, For You will answer me.’
๐Psalms 86:6-7 reminds me that I am never alone… Life doesn’t always slow down when we’re hurting. Bills still come, people still expect things from us, and the world keeps spinning, even when we feel like we’re barely holding it together. This is a quiet but powerful reminder that we have someone who hears us, even in the chaos.
David wrote this Psalm at a time when he was in deep trouble. Instead of going nuts, he ran to God. Not because things instantly got better, but because he trusted that God would answer. He wasn’t praying into the void, he was praying to a God who hears, cares, and responds. He trusted that the same God who bailed him out in the past would resue him always,
We’ve all had days where prayers feel like whispers lost in the wind. But Psalm 86 reminds us that God is not distant. He leans in when we call. He listens not just to our words, but to our pain, our confusion, and even the prayers we don’t know how to speak.
So if today feels heavy, if your heart is worn out, or if you’re waiting for an answer, take a deep breath and call out to God. He’s listening and He will answer๐...
Breathing excercise:I recommend you try this before you pray, helps me to relax.Repeat for 1–2 minutes, or longer if needed: Sit or lie down comfortably
Inhale slowly (while inhaling in your heart say): 'Lord, I receive Your peace'
Exhale gently (in your heart say): 'I release my heaviness'
Let's Pray: Dear Lord, You hear me even when my voice is weak and my heart is heavy. In my trouble, I turn to You not because I always understand, but because I know You care. You have answered me before, I trust You. Please listen to my cry, hold me steady, and remind me that I’m not alone. In Jesus name we Pray, Amen๐
Faith based Activity:'Surrender Your Trouble'
Read Psalm 86:6–7 or the entire Psalm slowly, aloud if possible.
Write down the things troubling you today, big or small.
Pray & write on post it, take a screen shot to remind yourself: 'Dear Lord, I am calling on You today in despair. These are heavy, I commit them to you and I believe with your mercy Lord You will answer. Thank You Lord.
