Melt my πŸ’• Daily Dose - 2 Corinthians 5:17 - No Salvation Without Transformation...

2 Corinthians 5:17(NLT)
: ‘This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!’

πŸ“ Believing in God is one thing, but belonging to Him is entirely different.
Salvation isn't just a prayer you repeat or a moment of emotion. It is a surrender that leads to change..

When you truly give your life to Christ, something shifts. The habits, the cycles, the old mindset; it just doesn’t hit like it used to anymore. When this shifts happen, it's not necessarily behavior modification, it becomes transformation. Sometimes it's instant, with others it’s baby steps (one step at a time), ongoing… For me, it’s been baby steps.  P.S. Do not compare your journey with others.

Today’s daily dose 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT) is literal (exactly what the words say without exaggeration). It states: ‘Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!’

You might believe in God, but has your heart ever truly surrendered to Him? Salvation is free, but it’s not fake. If nothing’s changed, maybe nothing’s really been given to Him yet.  Remember, it’s about establishing a relationship with our Lord & savior.  A real relationship with Him starts with honesty, not perfection.  Once this is done, surrender becomes easier.

Transformation doesn’t mean you never mess up. It means you don’t feel at peace living the same old way.

  • Your desires start to change.
  • Your values shift.
  • You become uncomfortable with what used to feel normal.

When you slip up, remember it’s not guilt, it’s Grace.  Confess, Pray, and start over. Feeling pressured (not negatively or stressful) is proof that God is working in you.  God doesn’t want religious behavior. He wants your whole life, not to control it, but to redeem it, Praise God!

Remember, real salvation doesn’t leave you the same. If Jesus moves in, your life will start to look like it."

Let’s Pray: Dear God, I come to You just as I am, tired of carrying things I was never meant to hold. I surrender my heart, my past, my pride, and my plans. I don’t want surface-level change, I want to be transformed. Shape me into who You created me to be. Heal what’s broken, replace what’s missing, and lead me in Your truth. I trust you fully, even when I don’t understand. Make me new, Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.
