MELT MY ♥ Daily Dose - Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV)

"3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."

I got very bad news today and as I was starting to have a pity-party for myself complaining to a dear friend, he calmly said to me, 'let me pray for you.'  I was stunned!  See, this is a new friend, somebody I just met and I am getting to know.  A born-again Christian! I honestly have never in all my years going to church had a friend, a born-again christian friend pray WITH me.  Usually it will be, I will pray FOR you, or keep you in my prayers however this was instant, I was touched...  Made me realize that there is a huge difference between praying for someone instantly than the usual 'You are in my prayers.'  I am also guilty of doing this.

As I continued my rant, I was literally only a minute in, and was touched by him instantly cutting me off and making me become aware of the Power of Words. See sometimes the devil has you in such a corner that you backslide, and begin to doubt God. Proverbs 18:21 (ESV) says, 'Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits."  Is he worry-free, absolutely NOT!  He has problems of his own but he put his issues aside to help me.  His faith and testimony revived me.  I instantly got back on track.  The prayer that followed was powerful.  I pray that God bless's you 'buddy' for enlightening me

Meditate on today's daily dose and pray that God brings the right friends/mentors into your life.  Also pray that he gives you the wisdom and humility to pray for others. May God Bless you today.  There is so much going on in our country and the world today that all we can do is put our hope and trust in God and continue to be his disciples♥
