MELT MY ♥ Daily Dose - 1 Chronicles 16:11-12 (NIV)

'Look to the Lord and his strength;

    seek his face always.

12 Remember the wonders he has done,

    his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced'

Happy New Year!  It's the first day of 2016, a Leap year meaning we have 366 days and if you were born on February 29th, you get to celebrate a real birthday this year:-) It's that time of the year that we make resolutions, enforce changes in our daily lives, seek personal growth... These are all empowering as long as they are positive and will enrich our lives, however I plead that your #1 priority this year will be to establish a Relationship with God.  Not Religion! 

Religion is formalism, practice of rituals and ceremonies that are based on appealing or looking good, 'being holier than thou,' 'Religious' to man, rather than abiding by the word of God.   A Relationship is a way in which people connect, built on trust, respect, love, a desire to learn about each other.  Striving to get along for peace and harmony.  Jesus died on the cross for you and me, for the redemption of our sins how about striving to get to know him.  Get out of what you already know and start afresh based on a new perception of building a relationship.  You will be amazed by how much better you get to understanding our Lord and savior.  Of course it's NOT going to be easy in the beginning for some of us, but it's up to you to make it work.

I grew up in church and I have to admit, I was brainwashed into memorizing bible verses, I knew most Bible stories, prayed mechanically, but not fully comprehending, you get me?  Until I took a step back and decided to get to know and seek God based on building a Relationship with him my journey has been much more REAL.  I have peaceful moments and through adversity, trials, Sin, I am finally understanding how to overcome them and that these are attributes that come along with being a Christian.  I grew up in a church where the sermons used to be all about 'Prosperity'.  Accept Christ and BOOM, no more pain, just fun, fun, fun!  I cannot even begin to explain the confusion and anger I have felt towards God all these past years or thinking that I am so tainted that God hates me, there is no hope for me, which were all lies!  Look at Moses, Paul, David, and even Jesus, there were great times however they all faced trials, the key is how you overcome them and stand firm in your faith.  Be very careful...

As you start this year, meditate on today's daily dose, your past is gone and covered by the blood of Jesus, do not allow it to define you.  Your present is now, Seek the face of God in all that you do, make him a priority, remember his deeds.  When you have issues who is the first person some of us call; our BFF, Bae, Mom, Dad, sibling etc.  Why do we do this, because we love and trust the relationship we have establised with them.  How about calling unto God first this year, diligently...  Try it, trust me, it works.  I have been through a lot in life, suicide attempts et el, through this God has been my rock.  My life is a testimony, if I am doing it so can you, PLEASE take this journey with me and lets prepare for now and the future... his coming.  Love you, May God's annointing and Blessings be upon you this year.  Don't Quit, Try it, God loves you♥
